About us

A Fremont HVAC Company That Explains Before It Fixes

OzoneFlow Heating & Cooling is an HVAC repair company based in Fremont. We work on central air conditioners, furnaces, and heat pumps in homes around the southern end of the Bay and across the South Bay. Our approach is simple: find out what is actually wrong, explain it in plain terms, and let you decide what happens next. Sometimes that means a small part and a cleaning. Sometimes it means talking through whether an older system is worth fixing. When replacement makes sense, we install new AC systems sized for your home instead of copying the old unit's size. You get straight answers and an estimate in writing before any work begins.

More about how we work

What to expect

How a visit goes

  1. Find the cause first

We test and inspect before recommending a repair, so you aren't paying to swap parts that were never the problem.

  2. Explain your options

We tell you what we found, what fixing it involves, and when replacement is worth considering. Then the decision is yours.

  3. Size new systems properly

For AC installation, we look at your home, not just the old unit's label, so the new system fits the space it has to cool.

FAQ

Common questions

Don’t see your question? Call (561) 920-2109 and we’ll talk it through.

My AC is running but not cooling. Should I keep it on?

Turn it off at the thermostat if the air is warm or you see ice on the lines or outdoor unit. Running it that way can make the problem worse. Check that the filter isn't clogged and that the breaker hasn't tripped, then call us to diagnose it.

Do I really need air conditioning around here?

It depends on where you live. The Santa Clara Valley has dry summers and mild winters, but inland and southern parts of the valley run noticeably hotter in summer than areas near the Bay. Many homeowners in hotter pockets find AC worth having, and we can talk through what makes sense for your home.

Do I have to replace my gas furnace because of the new Bay Area rules?

No. The Bay Area Air District appliance rules don't require replacing working equipment. They apply only when an existing furnace or water heater fails or is replaced. If your furnace works, you can keep using and repairing it.

What changes for furnaces in 2029?

Under the Air District's rule, natural gas furnaces manufactured from 2029 must meet a zero-NOx emission standard. In practice, that points homeowners toward heat pumps when a furnace is replaced after that date. It's worth keeping in mind if your furnace is getting older.

Can I still get the federal tax credit for a heat pump?

No. The federal Energy Efficient Home Improvement Credit (25C) covered qualifying heat pumps placed in service before December 31, 2025. It isn't available for new installations after that date.

Are there any local incentives for heat pumps?

Bay Area homeowners can check BayREN and their local clean energy provider for current heat pump and electrification incentives. Amounts and availability change with each funding cycle, so we confirm the current offer before including it in any quote.
